A week in Scotland.

02nd June 2009
I spent an enjoyable week touring Scotland during the third week in May. Thankfully no dreaded midges that Plague the Highlands from about the end of May onwards. I toured the west coast passing over into the Isle of Skye for four days. I am never happy with my luck and the weather and initially I thought Id only have a few keepers but I actually came back with a lot of nice shots.

Weather wise it was beautiful for that time of year with clear blue skies most of the time. Great camping weather but not particularly good for moody atmospheric pictures which I like. My wife Joanna who accompanied me was quite angry that I was complaining because of the clear cloudless skies. Really I cannot complain as I know how horrible the weather can be especially in the western Isles with driving rain and poor visibility. Thankfully I did get by chance an overcast day for Glenbrittle photographing the Fairy Pools and such.

There is so much to explore in Scotland and IL always go back but I really need to move on to other regions in the UK which has some stunning coastlines.
